Pantone the king of colour has released their 2022 colour of the year and while I love the name (Very Peri) I'm honestly kind of unimpressed - its being sold as a Periwinkle inspired colour, yet its clearly nowhere near a periwinkle blue but more a not millennial pink but close enough purple. And while I know that yes Periwinkles the flower do come in purple, the exact shade chosen I can't help but think maybe the marketing team at Pantone maybe spent a bit too much time watching friends over lockdown...
When I think of Periwinkle as a colour this is what I see... Not Purple.
In the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report Spring/Summer 2022 they also feature standout colors that predict fashion design trends during the upcoming London & New York Fashion Week, Pantone’s vibrant and bold offerings can also be incorporated into the home design space.

This bold colour palette works in every room of the home, even though it can seem intimidating, When you see this stunning colour combination can you see yourself wearing it, or could it be the perfect fresh palette to bring into your home. Punchy contrasting colours are about to have a moment, with acid green, seventies ochres and hot hot pinks having a moment! Not for the faint of heart, bold colour schemes are back with a bang and these eclectic vibrant colours are set to be everywhere! Interiors trends almost always follow fashion trends so watch out for these colours over the next couple of years. If you're not brave enough to do a whole room I'm sure you'll see them creeping into your accessories as accent colours.

Minimal has a new face, instead of the sterile and white looks of the 2010's we're seeing a far more tonal minimal style with shades of neutral, mixed with pops of highly pared back colours and a mix of materials to create a mature timeless look.
Honestly, a neutral colour scheme never goes out of fashion and is a sure way of making a beautiful home. Warm neutrals can create a professional-looking home if you stay within a very specific colour theme and stay away from too many bold prints.

Layer of Blue
I adore a rich blue interior and these deep dark shades are some of my favourite to see used in interiors. They always look so sumptuous and show off a rooms light beautifully. I adore deep navy for a touch of drama contrasted with pale shades of sky blue and crisp whites.
